Conference Lunch

What a wonderful sunday Conference lunch!  It is so great to be able to visit with family that we don't often see.  All of these great-grandchildren just love Grammie and Daddy O.  We missed all of you that weren't there.

As Jason said "there's nothing like an iphone, bringing families together!"

She came on Tuesday, July 27, weighing in at 7 pounds 8 ounces and measuring 20 3/4 inches long.  Here are some pictures of Tessa's first days.  We're so glad she's here!  Wish you were all here to give her hugs.

Westward-ho!

The Rowans are moving to Utah! Jamin just got a job offer from BYU (a tenure-track, we'll stay forever kind of job), and we are headed to Provo this summer. (Can you believe it?!?!?!?) See you soon!

Pretzel Salad

Pretzel Salad
Ingredients:
Crust:
3 cups chopped pretzels
1 Tbsp Sugar
3/4 Cup Butter (softened, but not melted)

Middle Layer:
12 oz Cream Cheese
1 1/4 Cup Sugar
8 oz Cool Whip

Top Layer:
One 6 oz pkg Jello (I used raspberry, but you can use any flavor)
2 Cups pineapple juice
1 pkg of frozen fruit (I used raspberries)

Directions:
Crust:
Mix pretzels, butter, and sugar together. Put in 9x13 pan and bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. (I also sprinkled sugar on the bottom of the pan before putting the mixture in. It makes it crunchier.)

Middle Layer:
Mix ingredients and spread over crust after crust has cooled. Make sure there aren't any holes.

Top Layer:
Bring juice to a boil then dissolve the jello into the juice. Add fruit to juice/jello misture then pour on top and put in fridge to firm.

I use the freezer in between the layers to speed things up.
Great for Summer BBQ's!

Grandpa Melvin Nelson's Funeral

Here are some pictures of Grandpa Nelson's funeral that Grandaddy Owen has requested. What sweet family we have to support each other. The services were wonderful.
